Case Study: variable that influence in the medical appointments and faults in appointments held in a health plan

Abstract

The health management issue has been increasingly discussed in Brazil in recent years. In the country access to health care is given by the public or private systems. The article is restricted to the private system model, specifically the health plan, focusing the study on the issue of scheduling appointments of a health plan operator, in the city of Jundiaí, São Paulo. It is so much the relevance of the theme scheduling medical appointments for patients who own the National Health Agency, ANS has interfered featuring normative regulations (RN). Another discussed issue is the occupation times in the medical schedules for patients who lack these queries without any explanation. So what is considered "missing" this work is the event that, despite all these measures, the patient failed without warning. The study aims to discuss the gender and age of the patient influence the amount of queries it uses in its health plan, and the level of patient education influences the amount of missed appointments in their health plan. Quantitative approach study used the methodology of use cases, which made use of scientific research association-regression technique, based on a survey on the company's database. The study concludes that the age and gender of the patient influence the amount of scheduled appointments for this patient while the educational level of the patient has little influence.
