Abstract

With constant discussions about the negative impacts that the high productivity of various segments cause on the environment, it becomes increasingly necessary to discuss the carbon footprint that human activities will leave for future generations. To try to mitigate the negative effects, there are tools and actions that can be carried out during the production process. The field research was carried out in an Atelier, located in the city of Itu, where they work with the concept of raw wood, that is, honing only what is necessary for the work, bringing the concept of eco-friendly production, without incurring in greenwashing , as the Studio does not have any ISO NBR certification and the actions taken through documentation provided on the origin of the wood, technical sheets of fastening materials, invoices for raw materials, QFDE and DfE tools and interaction between standards were evaluated. The study achieved that even if the company did not aim to obtain certifications relevant to its products, using the Voice of the Consumer (VoC), respecting the tripod of sustainability: economic, environmental and social, meeting the requirements of the standards, even without its implementation. However, there are technical frontiers to be overcome, because through the reflections, it was possible to verify that even with all the negotiations concerning sustainability, the prioritization turned to the harmful aspects of extractive action, even if in a controlled way, chemical products used jeopardizing the degradation at the end of life and the road modal used in the country, with an important impact on sustainability issues.
