A Bibliometric Study On Academic Publications In Journals With Subject Environmental Management

This study has the objective of identifying the evolution of interest in the publication related to environmental management in academic journals. For that reason, it was performed a bibliometric analysis in available articles in the Scielo database. The methodology was quantitative, considering the scores from academic journals by Qualis/CAPES system, kind of A1, A2, B1 and B2 in the year 2012. As a result, there has been progress in the theme focused on environmental management, with high rate of publications in 2006 and 2012, resulting from the application and certification of the Environmental Management System - ISO 14000 - in industries beyond the Rio +20 conference held in the year 2012. It was also noted the plurality of interests in various areas of knowledge and different Educational Institutions (EI). The results may contribute to the promotion of the theme of environmental management in academic and business worlds.References
